This year, we moved to an amazing new piece of land, where we are building a beautiful little cabin for our guests. We will open this new accommodation option in December 2026. 🌿
In the meantime, the doors of Caballos de Luz are still open! You can come and enjoy our horseback riding tours, children’s riding lessons and, of course, our delicious homemade vegetarian meals.
Until the cabin is ready, we offer several accommodation options: camping, a private room in our home, or a lovely guesthouse run by friends, just a 15-minute drive away.

Stay with us for more than one day and spend a night in one of our peaceful guestrooms in the middle of quiet and beautiful nature, while enjoying delicious vegetarian food.
Rooms & Comfort
Caballos de Luz is a small horse farm registered with Uruguay’s Ministry of Tourism.
Apart from going horse riding, you can go for a swim in our manmade waterhole, go hiking or tracking down birds and wildlife. Or you can chill out in one of the hammocks, listen to birdsong and read a book from our multilingual library.

Vegetarian restaurant
We love to cook! In our kitchen, we prepare international vegetarian food. The greens are grown in our own organic garden and are harvested right before the meal.
Rooms
Single / Double Room
Cozy little guestroom with view of the Sierras, part of our house but with a separate entrance. The bathroom is shared. Sheets and towels are provided. This room has access to WIFI
Camping
You can bring your own tent or rent one of ours, complete with bedding and everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a dry toilet and a solar-heated shower.
Respecting nature
We believe in the importance of taking care of the environment. Please note that ours is a guest ranch, not a four star hotel. Accommodation is simple and rustic, with wonderful views and a deck for sun bathing and star gazing. Fresh bedding and towels are provided. There is no air condition or toileteríes.
We do not provide WIFI in the cabin, but we have a hammocks, a great library, and kind horses to hang out with. In emergency, you can connect to WIFI in the main house.
